SHOCK TEST
PEPCO has designed military shipboard equipment to withstand HI-IMPACT SHOCK (MIL-S-901D) such as that produced by underwater explosions, collision impacts, near-miss gunfire, and blasts caused by air explosions which may be incurred during wartime service due to the effects of nuclear or conventional weapons.
These same precautions and measures apply to PEPCO’s design of commercial vessels and workboats, which must be built to withstand high impacts caused by severe weather conditions, ice collisions, and large ocean swells.
