            Utility / Gas Turbine Generator Set Experience

       Over  2,000 MegaWatts of Gas Turbine Electrical Power Generation is controlled all over the globe by PEPCO control systems.  PEPCO provides Sequencer Upgrades, Digital Fuel Controls, Voltage regulator upgrades, Fogging systems for power augmentation, water injection for NOx reduction, Performance Monitoring Systems, and new Control Houses, as well as a broad range of system engineering and design services.  Over 10% of the Turbo-Power Marine/Pratt & Whitney FT4 fleet is running on PEPCO control systems.

Sequencer Upgrades - PEPCO Sequencer upgrades, as one customer put it, "dramatically improved starting reliability" and greatly reduces the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) through greatly improved system diagnostics.

Digital Fuel Control - PEPCO is installing its second generation of Digital Fuel control to replace existing OEM Hamilton Standard analog controls.  In addition to providing increased system reliability, it extends the life of existing fuel system Mod Valves by eliminating the oscillations which the existing controls induce in the Mod Valve.

Water Injection Systems - PEPCO provides water injection systems to reduce NOx emmissions.

Performance Monitoring Systems - PEPCO can provide performance monitoring systems to allow you to run your Gas Turbine Generator Set at peak performance.

Fog Power Augmentation Systems - PEPCO provides Gas turbine engine power augmentation using fog.  This can boost power output by up to 13% depending on environmental conditions and it reduces NOx (though not as much as a water injection system).

Combined Water Injection and Fog Power Augmentation Systems - PEPCO can combine both water injection and fog power augmentation on a single skid to provide an attractive, more cost effective, solution than two independent systems.
